In a wealthy neighbourhood in the suburbs north of Copenhagen, an affluent family and their filipino au pair get caught up in the sudden disappearance of their neighbours’ au pair Ruby.
Her disappearance is a mystery to both the family and their au pair and quickly the eeriness and mistrust start to take its toll on everyone. As the police gets involved, the family is forced to embark on a complex investigation into the truth about what happened to Ruby and face their own complicity in her disappearance and the culture that fostered it.
